I've given in. I now have a Twitter account.

The older I get, the more fed up I get with our current government. This also means my urge to vote has changed and the sites I read are more or less political-action centric.

Here's what I read now a days in between tech sites:

• Crooks & Liars
• Daily Kos
• TPM Muckraker
• Reddit
• Boing Boing

The first four are what I think are some of the best sources or real news, now that shit that FOX molests and twists and claims is news.

Microsoft Makes $42B Bid for Yahoo

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) -- Unable to topple Google Inc. on its own, Microsoft Corp. is trying to force crippled rival Yahoo Inc. into a shotgun marriage, with a wager worth nearly $42 billion that the two companies together will have a better chance of tackling the Internet search leader.

So long Flickr. We hardly knew ye. I have full confidence that Microsoft will run good things like YUI and Flickr right into the ground.

jUploadr is a must if you have a boatload of photos to get up into Flickr. Drag n Drop, batch apply tags, names, descriptions, assign to sets and upload in the background.

After about 5 days or so, I managed to get about 3000 photos online. Not bad. Not bad at all. Now I just need to finis updating to MovableType 4.0 and get my Flickr feeds into my blog.

Maybe. :-) After reinstalling all my crap on the thumbdrive, I decided to change the stylesheet in Sage. After tweaking the style from Jon Hicks, I think I like it's minimalist way enough that I may make a redeisng using it.

It looks like the Del.icio.us for: tags and the /for stuff is working again. People tag things for me and they show up right away.

Now my only complaint is that I can't delete something from my For page. Since those links are really copies of other peoples real links, they hang around until the other user deletes them. What a pain to have all that crap hanging around. Oh well.

I've spent the last couple of weeks tinkering on a photo gallery app for Catalyst. I like Flickr, but I don't want to pay for it. I have a buttload of photos to get online, epse. wedding photos if you ask the wife. :-)

So, now that I've hit critical mass, I'm eating my own dog foo, aka using my own software. :-)
